Our Story
It all started with a dream to make a difference..
Liz and Jesse Volpe are the dream partnership and husband and wife team who founded Project Gen Z in 2015 after Liz went on a life-changing trip to Cambodia.
After seeing the potential in the young people there, Liz put together a team of successful entrepreneurs and together they launched the dare to dream entrepreneurial workshop series to over 100 disadvantaged youths at Sunrise Cambodia. The aim... to give them the opportunity to dream.
Since 2015 this powerful movement of entrepreneurs have educated over 550 students in Cambodia, raised $550,000 and have inspired many students to further their education and start their own businesses.
In 2017 Liz launched the future skills workshop series in Australia, and now Project Gen Z and the dream team of successful business owners visit schools, run holiday bootcamps and design digital programs to inspire, educate and activate the next generation of world changers.
Since then, the Project Gen Z shop has continuously expanded with educational resources for kids and teens, globally and extended the impact in to primary and high schools across Australia and New Zealand with the goal of activating the next generation of world changers.
In 2024, it was then time for Liz and Jesse to change gears and welcome Ben and Amy Pettingill in to the fold as the new owners of Project Gen Z. Ben and Amy have been huge supporters and contributors to Project Gen Z for the first decade and are so stoked to continue to build on the passion and impact already made for the next decade and beyond.
So far, the team have inspired over 200,000 young people to dream big!
